Proud to be ‘GOOD’
Dear Parents & Carers We are immensely proud to be sharing our recent Ofsted inspection…
Hello and welcome to 6CU!
In our classroom, you will find nineteen young people who are working hard to demonstrate the MAPLE values and to be role-models for the rest of the school. Mrs Cunningham and Mrs Walters teach us on a daily basis but we are also taught by Mr Copestake, Miss Marshall, Mrs Tough, Mrs Reeves and Mr Taylor – a team of dedicated staff who strive to get the very best from us.
Although we know that we are going to have to work extremely hard this year, we know that it is important not to give up. We take pride in our classroom and love to talk about our learning. Amongst us you will find inquisitive scientists, creative artists, imaginative authors and knowledgeable historians – we all have a talent!
Year 6 are given homework every Monday that can always be used in our lessons to help us; we also turn our many ideas into imaginary creations in our topic homework, including designing our own wallpaper, making Victorian silhouettes and designing and making our own DT models. We hope to have children that even go ‘above and beyond’ and produce additional work that we can then share to benefit the rest of the class.
This year, we are looking forward to the challenges that we will face as well as our visit to Stanley Head in the summer term and our preparations for secondary school. Who knows where our learning will take us?
At Maple Court, we create an environment based upon trust and respect that is a safe, secure and happy place for children to learn, grow and develop.
Maple Court Academy delivers a high-quality and rich educational experience for pupils from Nursery to Year 6.
Here you can find a collection of our latest news. We aim to keep all stakeholders as up-to-date as possible.
