Class Teacher:Â Mrs S Ball
Class Support Staff: Miss N Akhtar
Class Teacher:Â Mrs C Steele & Miss N Robson
Class Support Staff: Mrs S JordanÂ
We are a fun, lively bunch who work really hard and always do our best. We are proud to show the MAPLE values at all times. We enjoy school and learning and are working hard to be ready to move into Key Stage 2 next year.Â
Dreams and Goals is our focus in PSHE, and we will be setting our own goals and targets for the term ahead. In science we will be learning about living things and their habitats. We will explore the different habitats of animals, and how they adapt to suit their habitat. The theme of habitats will continue in our art lessons where we will be creating a piece of art based on a habitat, in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. In design and technology our skills in textiles will be developed, and we begin to sew different fabrics.
Reading books are collected in and changed on a Friday, although children are expected to bring these in to school every day.  Â
Children are expected to read at least 4 times a week at home, although 5 times is even better and children who achieve this will be rewarded with a certificate.
Toast can be purchased daily at breaktime. The cost of this is 35p a day and the money needs to be put on the children’s parentmail account.  Â
We have PE every Tuesday & Thursday and it is very important that EVERY child has a PE kit in school ready to take part in PE.Â
All children receive a piece of fruit, free of charge, during our afternoon session.Â
We are a happy, friendly and hardworking class of 30 children, we are full of excitement and enthusiasm, and we always have a smile on our faces.Â
As you can imagine, our classroom is very busy, but it is a wonderful learning environment. Â
Mrs Ball is our class teacher, but Miss Akhtar, Mrs Henshall and Mrs Barker all work with us at different times too- so we are really lucky!
We work hard and our teachers love it when we contribute and share our own ideas in lessons because it shows we are excited to learn. We are a team, and we understand that by following our class rules we learn well, having a lot of fun and laughter along the way!
We are ready to complete our final year in Key Stage One, and we always try our best to follow the MAPLE Values. Mrs Ball loves to award us green points when we show her what fabulous learners we are!Â
Over the course of this year, we will take part in many exciting enrichment opportunities and learn new things through our exciting curriculum! At the end of last term, we went to the cinema and enjoyed a Christmas movie together.
