The Maple Court Academy curriculum promotes and sustains a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning which contributes well to pupils’ academic achievements. Our motto is, Expect excellence. Achieve excellence, which is embedded throughout our curriculum. Different learning takes place throughout the day and this may include new learning, applying learning or, consolidating learning. The focus of every lesson is on the pupils making progress in order to reach their highest level of attainment, because no matter what each pupil’s starting point is – they can achieve. We promote a growth mindset and ensure that we give pupils the necessary tools they need to meet their year group expectations.

For every subject each year group follows the National Curriculum Programmes of Study. These programmes demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and understanding expected for each year group by the end of the year. Each Year group has a long term plan which sets out the learning for the year, and every half term parents are provided with topic diaries to help them support their children at home.
